Friday, April 27

  • Alumni Weekend Kickoff Party and Tailgate
    Time: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
    Location: Farrell Stadium, WCU
    Cost: Adults - $10 online ($15 at door), Children under 20 - $5
    Event Details: Enjoy wine, beer (provided by Levante Brewing), food and music before the Spring Football Game! Featured charity partners include Audible for Autism and Crafters for Life!

          

  • Opening Gala for the Rwanda Nziza: Beautiful Rwanda Exhibit
    Time: 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
    Location: WCU Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology, Old Library, WCU
    Cost: Free
    Event Details: Explore the vibrant beauty and vitality of 21st century Rwanda, Land of a Thousand Hills, through this student co-curated museum exhibit. This exhibit celebrates the inauguration West Chester University's new Shinehouse Gishwati Field Station in Rwanda. Open to all alumni, faculty, and staff. Light refreshments will be served.

  • Theatre & Dance Presents: Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill, a Musical Voyage
    Time: 7:30 p.m.
    Location: MainStage Theatre, E. O. Bull Center for the Arts, WCU
    Cost: Tickets range from $13 to $16
    Purchase Tickets!
    About the show: Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill, a Musical Voyage explores the musical catalog of the Tony-Award winning composer, from his work prior to fleeing 1930s Nazi Germany to the height of his international fame based in the US during the 1950s. Weill’s German work challenged government corruption and corporate greed while his American work addressed issues of racism and warfare. Featuring songs from The Threepenny Opera, Street Scene, and Lost in the Stars to name a few, set sail with this revue as we uncover a story of immigration that is as relevant today as it was when first made.   • Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner - SOLD OUT! NO RESERVATIONS BEING ACCEPTED.

    Event Details: Join us as we honor the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients: Ronald Demkee ’65 M’70, Nancy Stevens ’76, and Susan Weldon ’86. We will also honor our 2018 Service Award recipient: Edward Monroe ’89.

Sunday, April 29

  • Service Project
    Time: 10:00 a.m. - noon
    Location: Resource Pantry
    Cost: Free
    Click here to register! (Registration is required)
    Event Details: Join us for an exciting service project benefiting the WCU Resource Pantry! The WCU Resource Pantry eliminates barriers to degree completion for students with financial need by providing access to resources, while empowering students to learn independent living skills and achieve long-term stability. The pantry offers low income students free organic produce, non-perishable food items, school supplies, winter and professional attire, and personal care items. Volunteers are needed in the Resource Pantry from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm to sort food and stock shelves. Volunteers will also receive a tour of the pantry and learn about upcoming programming. Families with kids are welcome.

  • SpringFest Carnival
    Time: noon - 2:00 p.m.
    Location: Residential Quad (in between Sykes and Lawrence), WCU
    (In case of inclement weather this event will be cancelled)
    Cost: Free, open to ALL alumni to attend!
    Event Details: Wrap up WCU Alumni Weekend and join us for a family-friendly carnival with face painting, moonbounces, games, music, food and more!
