ThursDAY, september 30
- Resiliency Workshop*
Time: 7 - 9 p.m. Location: Zoom Cost: FREE Event Details: Join author of ‘Too Busy to Be Happy’, Christine Laperriere, for a virtual interactive workshop. Explore resiliency and equip yourself with practical tools for dealing with the every-day challenges to grow your work-life wisdom.

- WCU 150: History & Heritage Museum Exhibition
Time: 4 - 6 p.m. Location: Francis Harvey Green Library, Main Floor (25 W. Rosedale Avenue, West Chester, PA) Cost: FREE Event Details: Celebrate WCU’s sesquicentennial anniversary with an exclusive, curator-led tour of the Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology’s newest exhibition, WCU 150: History and Heritage. Sponsored by the WCU Alumni Association, the exhibition takes visitors on an exciting exploration of our first 150 years—from our origins as a Normal School training high school-aged elementary teachers after the Civil War, to a State Teacher’s College in the Roaring ‘20s, to a comprehensive, fully public liberal arts university. Through hundreds of rarely seen artifacts donated by alumni, visitors will understand the university’s transformations in academics, student life, and diversity / inclusion. An interactive see-through Time Capsule caps the experience, and all are encouraged to leave their own objects for future generations!
- Earth Day at 50: Lessons for a Sustainable Future
Time: 4 - 6 p.m. Location: Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology, Old Library (775 S. Church Street, West Chester, PA) Cost: FREE Event Details: Join the Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology on a special tour led by student co-curators of the fascinating exhibition, Earth Day at 50: Lessons for a Sustainable Future. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Earth Day, Earth Day at 50 explores past and present environmental activism both nationally and locally, the reality of the current global climate crisis, and sustainable practices for a livable future. - Planetarium Show* SOLD OUT
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Location: Dr. Sandra F. Pritchard Mather Planetarium Cost: FREE - Pre-Registration Required Event Details: NASA’s James Webb Telescope is scheduled for launch this November! The Webb telescope will be the largest, most powerful and complex space telescope ever built and launched into space. It will fundamentally alter our understanding of the universe. What will we discover with Webb telescope in the coming decades? Find out at this year’s Homecoming Planetarium show!
- Homecoming Kickoff Party
Time: 6 - 9 p.m. Location: Alumni & Foundation Center (202 Carter Drive, West Chester, PA) Cost: $5 until 9/17; $10 until 9/29; $15 at the door Event Details: Enjoy delicious food, wine and beer, live music by Brent Christopher Pelleschi '98, prizes, and much more! All pre-registered guests are guaranteed an exclusive WCU 150th Anniversary stemless champagne glass (must be picked up at the event)!
- Happy Hour Homecoming (Hosted by the Black Alumni Chapter)
Time: 8 - 11 p.m. Location: Timothy's West Chester (929 S. High Street, West Chester, PA) Cost: Free to attend Event Details: Extend your homecoming celebrations and join us at Timothy's to kick off the weekend. Enjoy free appetizers and a chance to meet the new officers of the BAC!
SATURDAY, October 2
- Virtual Clean Energy Tour of Chester County
Time: all day Location: https://www.nationalsolartour.org/tourmap/localtourschester-county/ Cost: FREE Event Details: The Office of Sustainability and Facilities will be participating in a virtual Clean Energy Tour of Chester County as part of a National Solar Tour. The video tour of the geothermal pumphouse will go live online on October 2nd and 3rd.
- Yoga on the Quad
Time: 8 - 9 a.m. Location: Academic Quad, WCU Cost: FREE Event Details: Get your Homecoming Saturday off to a great start by joining us for Homecoming Yoga. Bring your yoga mat and align your chakra! Instructed by retired WCU professor Pam Walsh. Light breakfast treats and beverages available. Rain location secured in the case of inclement weather. Kids are welcomed.

- Bibbidi-Bobbidi Block Party
Time: 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Location: Ram Park (next to Sykes Student Union - 117 Norfolk Ave, West Chester, PA 19382) Cost: FREE Event Details: At 10 a.m. the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band and the Alumni Band will perform followed by free food, novelties, inflatables and so much more!

Time: 4:30 - 5 p.m. Location: Zoom Cost: FREE Event Details: Join us for Once Upon a West Chester virtual cocktail/mocktail demonstration with WCU-inspired drink recipes to please your tastebuds! BoomCheers’ founder, certified bartender and WCU alumna, Christy (Colon) McEwen ’09 will guide you through the process of making your very own drinks at home. Recipe and supply lists provided prior to event. Snack pairing will be suggested as well. Get your drinks and snacks ready for the Virtual Comedian performance featuring Pete Lee taking place right after this event! - Virtual Comedy Show featuring Pete Lee*
Time: 5 p.m. Location: Virtual (watch from the comfort of your own home or join us for a viewing party at Timothy's of West Chester - 929 S High St, West Chester, PA 19382) Cost: FREE Event Details: Pete Lee might be the nicest person in New York City, but that’s because it’s impossible to sound aggressive with a Wisconsin accent. Thanks to his highly rated Comedy Central Presents half hour special, Pete has packed venues at over 500 colleges and universities across the country. Pete has also been a standout on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and played a doctor on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns. His hit YouTube series titled Pete Lee’s Internet Freak Show attracted the attention of television executives. He was quickly hired to be a writer and cast member on FUSE TV’s Video on Trial and cast member on VH1’s Best Week Ever.
