It's YOUR Weekend!
Bring it back to where it all started — your alma mater.
We're getting a head start on the weekend with WCU Alumni Banana Night at Levante Brewery on Thursday! Enjoy pulled chicken, a mashed potato bar, beer from Wrong Crowd, and the Fun'nel Cakes and More food truck at Friday's Kick-Off Party before the spring football scrimmage. On Saturday, catch up at the WCU Alumni Association Breakfast & Annual Meeting. Then, join President Fiorentino at the Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony to celebrate alumni who have had an impact on WCU and in their own communities. This year's Distinguished Alumni Award honorees are Frederick E. Hubler '96; Joseph F. Kienle, III '72, M'74; and Jennifer L. Litchman-Green '07. The Service Award honoree is John H. Baker '74.
On Sunday, celebrate the community we all know and love at the 225 Years of West Chester Borough Parade.
We'll see you there! |

Alumni Spotlight: Tyler Haines '17 |
Tyler (in orange) and his family at his demolition party. |
|
A dedicated fitness enthusiast, Tyler Haines ’17 has competed in Ironman 70.3 and several half marathons – up next is a Tough Mudder.
He began his college career at the University of Hartford, where he played Division I lacrosse. After a change of heart, he transferred to Delaware County Community College, then to West Chester, where his father, brother, and sister graduated from. He was still able to complete his Bachelor of Science in Finance in the traditional four years, which he considers his greatest personal accomplishment.
According to Tyler, his decision to pursue this field of study was driven by his interest in understanding financial markets and economic principles. With aspirations to lead and manage but not having a clear “dream job” in mind, he knew the skills he would learn would be versatile and applicable across industries.
After working in private equity mergers and acquisitions and opening several Gopuff locations across the country, Tyler set his mind – and his entrepreneurial spirit – to opening Fitness Factory WC.
