Graduate Student Alumni Chapter


The Chapter was founded in 2014 under the auspices of the West Chester University Alumni Association.


The purpose of the Chapter shall be to promote the interests of West Chester University in all areas of academic, cultural, and social needs; to strengthen the Association through a strong network of graduates; and to increase alumni awareness of the University's needs. In accordance with the University’s Affirmative Action Policy, the West Chester University Alumni Association does not discriminate “on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, religious creed, disability, or veterans’ status. Nor does the Association allow any forms of sexual harassment.”

The mission of the Chapter is to engage graduate alumni in the life of West Chester University and its students, and to encourage life long connections among alumni of the masters degree and doctoral programs of the university.

Any person having graduated from any of West Chester University’s graduate programs is eligible for membership in the Chapter.  The following non-graduates may become members of the Chapter upon request: faculty members who have taught in the graduate program, and retired faculty members who have taught in the graduate program.

Temporary, provisional membership in this organization shall be granted to any student currently enrolled in classes in a WCU graduate program, but on a non-voting status. Official, permanent membership shall be granted to any student upon graduation clearance from the program.
