- Students who have completed at least 30 credits and remain in good standing with the University are considered West Chester alumni and are part of the Alumni Association.

Every West Chester University graduate receives a free lifetime membership to the Alumni Association. Board of Directors
The West Chester University Alumni Association (WCUAA) is governed by a board of nineteen directors who serve three-year terms and meet six times annually. Six new directors are elected each year, and all West Chester alumni are eligible and encouraged to vote in the election. Every year, new Executive Officers of the Board are elected to lead the Board, and the positions are as follows --- President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past President.
Each Director is required to serve as an active member of at least two committees. The committees include: Affinity, Alumni Weekend/Homecoming, Awards, Bylaws, Chapter Development, Finance, House and Grounds, Nominating, Outreach, Scholarship, Strategic Planning, and Social Media/Marketing/Web Task Force.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors plays an important role in the University community. Board members are responsible for establishing strategic goals for the creation and delivery of useful programs and services for all West Chester alumni. They also serve as the voice of alumni and represent the views of all graduates of the University. Finally, Directors are ambassadors of the University, helping alumni connect with one another and the campus community.
To provide events for alumni and future alumni that will strengthen their ties to the University and to award scholarships to students. As directed by the University’s immediate and strategic goals, the Association will encourage alumni, alumni constituent groups, and future alumni to become advocates and supporters of West Chester University.
